KMG Therapies, LLC is a private occupational therapy practice in Howard County, Maryland, specializing in hippotherapy, nature-based therapy, and group therapy. As a private pay practice, we do not accept insurance but are dedicated to securing grant funding and organizing events to help clients of all ages access the therapy they need. We are proud to partner with Bald Cypress Equestrian, utilizing their property and horses to enhance our therapeutic practices.

Kara is the primary occupational therapist (OT) partnered with Bald Cypress Equestrian to provide holistic, evidence based and client centered care. Kara has been riding horses for over 24 years and finds the immense value in what horses and nature can provide when finding the balance between mental and physical health. Kara is grateful for the opportunity to serve her community and looks forward to building a long-lasting relationship with you and your family.

Bald Cypress Equestrian is owned and operated by a young and enthusiastic trainer Hannah Balas and her Husband Tyler. Hannah has spent her entire life involved with horses, competing as a Jr and amateur while working as a working student in a hunter/jumper show & sales barn before opening BCE with her husband in 2019.
